Back End Engineer / Solution Architect

Sublime Software Sydney is looking for a Back End Engineer / Solution Architect who is excited to work alongside a talented group of innovators to create digital products.

Being a part of the conversation from the start, you will be expected to lead full lifecycle web-based projects including guiding technical scoping, design and implementation. Collaborating with UX & UI designers, researchers and other engineers (web & mobile), you will have the ability to flex your back-end chops to help shape, design and build digital products that help solve key business needs.

Who are you?

• At least 3+ years commercial experience with back-end development (C#, Java) and database management (MyQL, Microsoft SQL Server)

• At least 3+ years commercial experience with requirement definition and system design

• Fluent in Japanese (verbal and written) and fairly comfortable with English

• Proven problem solving capabilities

• Bonus: Technical skills in front end web development (HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, JQuery, etc.), iOS/Android/Hybrid app development, or Salesforce development.

WHAT’S THE JOB?

• Develop software and ensure quality of software developed by team members

• Contribute to technical pre-sales including:

• Qualifying commercial opportunities from a technical point of view

• Providing high- and mid-level development estimates for commercial proposals

• Providing technical subject matter expertise during sales calls and meetings

• Reviewing and providing feedback on outgoing Commercials and Statements of Work

• Be the principal technical contact for multiple simultaneous projects, including;-

• Attending Sprint planning and showcase meetings

• Liaising with Production team for Project Status

• Escalating issues to Technical Director as required
